You no longer say anything

Or rather any thing of sense

You just talk and talk and talk

Maybe it’s about time you stop talking,

Put down the phone and get to walking.

1st step is easy.

Just shut up!

No longer accepting calls

No longer need my fill of you

I’ve had enough

I’m full

You’re full too

But you are full of nothing

And full of you

Get out of yourself

I’m sure you are sick of you too.

I’m sick of you

So sick of you.

Please shut up.

Just hang up!

Hang up the phone I said

Hang up the lies you tell

Hang up the masks you wear

Hang up the pain from hell

Swallow your pride

Keep it down.

Keep the phone on the hook.

No longer seek my dial tone.

Don’t do it again.

Forget my number.

Forget me.

So for the last time,

Please just leave.

Hang UP!

No One Here

No one here respects my time
Until they need me to be early
They'd rather just waste it
It's not that important, clearly

No one here respects my talent
Until they need some favour
They'd rather find someone else
Then check me in the last hour

No one here respects my opinion
Until something I said happens
They'd rather just ignore me
Because I chat far too often

No one here cares enough
Until everything falls to pieces
They'd rather avoid the problems
And hope the issue ceases

No one here...
No... you have to care.
One... person is all it takes.
Here... is your chance to make your stand.

Some... one... here.

Stand

Alone in a crowded room she stood.
She stood up.
She stood out.
She stood firm.
With a broad smile dashed across her face;
She just stood.
I looked at her and I pondered;
Moments passed and I just wondered,
Why was she glowing the way she was?
What made her so elated?
It almost seemed as though she won… something.
Something was causing her to burst with happiness.
It was all over her face.
Clearly originating from a place…
Deep inside of her.
There she was standing.
I was barely comprehending;
Why?
All those around her blurred;
My focus was on her…
For as long as my attention could span.
But just before I was lost,
She opened her mouth
And she spoke.
She said

“I am happy”

I laughed to myself;
I already knew this.
But why are you happy?

“I met a man!
Not just any man.
I met Jesus;
And He died for me.
He loved me before I knew myself.
He loved me when I was lost in the world.
Now I stand,
Declaring to all here
That I stand because I have chosen
To follow My Jesus.”

Then I understood.
So then I too stood.
It was no longer just her
But now two;
Alone in a crowded room.

I Love You

What is luck

When I have Jesus?

Who sends His blessings

Like constant breezes.

Imagine I found you

Though I wasn’t quite looking

I searched for as much

As I’ve seen you cooking

He brought you here

And He’ll keep us together

He is indeed able

There’s none other

I have faith in us

Because I have faith in Him

Fill me up Lord

Up to the brim

Six months have passed

A lifetime ahead

Standing on Him

We’d be in good stead

It was your beauty

That first caught my eye

That’s how He pointed me

To you! oh my! oh my!

You grew on me

And the love grew too

We’ll grow together in Christ

I love you.

Finding The Words

I’ve been meaning to share;
It has been far too long.
I kept telling myself I’ll find them,
But the words can’t be found.

Whenever the thoughts come,
The thought to write is nowhere near.
Then when I’m ready to write,
Not finding the words is what I fear.

Well, I really can find words;
But will those words fit?
Fit to, fit in, fit with, fit it?
Will it? Will it be the right fit?

Is too big really a fit?
Or is that just fit-tion?
The words I want aren’t loose;
They are fitted with precision.

I don’t desire just any words;
To be thrown around as you see fit.
The words I use are chosen,
And carefully placed where they sit.

So until I find those words I want,
I’ll just leave you with these few.
What ever it is you have to share,
Keep it honest, simple and true.

As the day ends
The sun drops low
Shining beautifully
With it’s majestic glow.

To me, a best friend is special;

That someone to share and confide.

Who is there through thick and thin,

And gets excited and joins you for the ride.

Loyalty and trust are definitely key

With truth and honesty leading the front

Knowing when to give a hand; or a shoulder to lean on

And when to sugar coat or be painfully blunt

Many of us stumble into our new-found friends

While some, like me, somehow they find us.

Regardless of how, we know why they’re still here

With love, the bonds formed hold strong, as they must

A friendship, no doubt,

One should care and nourish.

In time it will flourish,

Love is beautiful;

Cherish.
